Your apps.
Your data.

01

The short version

Apk Extractor does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal information. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no server of its own.

  • No account or sign-in
  • No analytics or telemetry
  • No ads or advertising ID
  • No location, contacts or camera
  • No cloud storage
  • No tracking across apps
In one line: the app reads the list of installed apps on your phone, saves the APK you ask for into a folder you choose, and never sends that information anywhere.
02

Information we collect

We collect no personal information. There is no developer backend for this app, so there is nowhere for app data to go. Specifically, we do not collect:

  • your name, email address, phone number or postal address;
  • your list of installed apps, usage history or search queries;
  • the APKs, icons or other files you extract;
  • your location, contacts, calendar, photos, camera, microphone or messages;
  • device identifiers, advertising IDs, IP-based profiles or crash logs;
  • anything used for advertising, profiling or tracking across apps.

The only time we receive personal information is when you choose to contact us by email. That is covered in retention and deletion.

03

What happens on your device

Apk Extractor needs to read information about installed apps to do its job. All of that work happens locally, inside Android's app sandbox, and never leaves your phone.

Installed apps

When the app opens, Android's PackageManager gives it each installed app's label, package name, version, size, icon, target and minimum SDK, UID and declared permissions. The list is kept in memory while the app is open and is used only to draw the list, search it and show app details. It is not stored permanently and is not uploaded.

APKs and icons you choose to extract

When you tap Extract, the app copies the selected app's APK from Android's package location into the folder you picked. When you tap Save Icon, it writes a PNG of the app icon to the same kind of folder. Android's Storage Access Framework gives the app access only to the location you explicitly choose; it cannot browse or modify the rest of your storage.

Your preferences

Settings such as theme mode, theme colour, naming format, the “show app details” switch and the last chosen folder are stored in the app's private preferences on your device. They are used only to remember how you like the app to behave.

Android system backup

If you have enabled device backup in Android, the operating system may include app preferences in your encrypted Google backup. That backup is controlled by you and Google, not by the developer, and we cannot access it. You can turn it off in your device's system settings.

04

Permissions we request

The app asks for the minimum permissions it needs. It does not ask for storage, location, camera, microphone, contacts, phone, SMS or calendar access.

Permission Why it is needed Leaves your device?
Installed apps
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES
Lists installed applications and reads their details so you can find and extract them. This is the app's core feature. No
Network access
INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
Declared by the app runtime. The app does not use the network to send your data; connections only happen when you tap a link that opens your browser, email app or Google Play. No app data
Folder access
Storage Access Framework
Lets you pick where extracted APKs and icons are saved. Access is limited to the folder you select; no broad storage permission is requested. No
A note about the app list. Seeing every installed app is a sensitive permission on Android 11 and later. It is used only to display the list inside Apk Extractor. The list is never uploaded, sold or shared, and you can revoke access by uninstalling the app.
05

Network & third parties

Apk Extractor has no backend, no cloud sync and no third-party SDKs for advertising, analytics or crash reporting. It does not include ad networks, social plug-ins or tracking libraries.

Your device may contact another service only when you choose to:

  • Google Play — if you tap Rate Us, View on Play Store or a similar link. Google handles that request under the Google privacy policy.
  • Your email app — if you tap Customer Support or Feedback. The message is sent by your email provider; we receive only what you write.
  • Android Sharesheet — if you share an APK or app link. The app you pick receives the file and handles it under its own privacy policy.
  • Your browser — if you open a web link from the app, such as this policy or the developer's website.

These services are optional and initiated by you. Apk Extractor does not control their privacy practices.

06

Sharing files

Extracted APKs and icons are ordinary files in the folder you selected. You can share them using Android's share sheet or any file manager. Once you share a file, it leaves the app's private storage and the receiving app or person can keep a copy.

Only share APKs you have the right to share. An APK contains the original app's code and resources, which may be protected by copyright or a licence. See the Terms of Use for the rules that apply to extracted files.

07

This website

This policy site is a static website hosted on Cloudflare. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party fonts, scripts or images. All fonts and images are served from this same domain.

Like any website, Cloudflare processes standard technical data such as your IP address, browser user-agent and requested URL in order to deliver pages and protect the service from abuse. That processing is described in Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not have access to a visitor-level analytics profile.

If you email us, your message passes through your email provider and ours. We use it only to reply to you.

08

Retention & deletion

Because we operate no server for the app, there is no server-side account or usage record to delete. Data on your device works like this:

  • App preferences remain until you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
  • Extracted APKs and icons remain in the folder you chose until you delete them with a file manager. Uninstalling Apk Extractor does not delete them.
  • Support emails are kept only as long as needed to answer you, then deleted. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

To request deletion of an email conversation, write to msaadakram786@gmail.com with the subject “Data deletion request”. See also the support page.

09

Security

The app runs inside Android's application sandbox and writes only through the folder permission you grant. It does not transmit your app list, extracted files or settings over a network. This website is served over HTTPS with HSTS enabled.

No method of storage is completely secure. Files you extract are only as protected as your device and the folder you choose. If you share an APK, it leaves the app's protection and is handled by the receiving app. Keep your device lock enabled and share only with people you trust.

10

Children's privacy

Apk Extractor is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.

11

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of personal data, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

We hold no account or usage data about you. If you have emailed us, you can ask for a copy or deletion of that correspondence by writing to msaadakram786@gmail.com.

  • We do not sell personal information.
  • We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
  • We do not use dark patterns or tracking to profile you.

This site does not track visitors, so browser “Do Not Track” signals do not change anything. If your request concerns a right that does not apply because no data exists, we will tell you that in our reply.

12

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the app's features or the law change. The “updated” date at the top always reflects the current version, and the previous version is kept in this site's Git history. If a change is material, we will make it clear on this page and, where appropriate, in the app.

Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
